From Europe with Love #46 👀 – A mind-bending clock, a Bauhaus pepper mill & a gadget that revives old speakers
A museum-worthy timepiece, a mid-century icon, and a Bluetooth hack for vintage speakers — plus two more finds to obsess over.
Buonasera from Merano!
Welcome to this week’s installment of what’s hot in brands and products.
Back home again — for now.
For the past few months, we’ve been on a family nomad trip through New Zealand, hopping from farm stays to tiny coastal towns before eventually settling in Auckland for a bit.
Instead of starting in the big city and easing in, we did the opposite — straight into the countryside first, then worked our way back.
It’s counterintuitive, but it works.
When you hit a big city after roughing it, everything feels brand new. The streets? Smoother. The food? Endless. And that first real shower — not at a shared campsite? Pure luxury. You appreciate the city like a local, not like a tourist stuck in an airport mall.
Now we’re back in Europe, and this week’s finds are a bit like that trip — some refined, some unexpected, and one that’s straight-up art.
Let’s dive in.
If you’re new around here: Every week, I share 5 of the coolest products from Europe I’ve discovered in the past 7 days.
I scout, you explore. Let’s get to it!
With love ☀️

Dezza 60 Armchair [🇮🇹]
Designed by Gio Ponti in 1965 and now back in a limited edition by Poltrona Frau, the Dezza 60 is mid-century perfection. It’s the kind of chair that makes you feel like you should be holding a Negroni while discussing architecture instead of binge-watching reality TV. Give your living room some Milanese swagger.
A Million Times 144 [🇸🇪]
Imagine taking 144 clocks and turning them into a mind-melting kinetic sculpture. That’s A Million Times 144 by Stockholm’s Humans since 1982. The synchronized clock hands move in hypnotic patterns, spelling words, making waves, and reminding you that time is, in fact, an illusion. It’s mesmerizing. It’s wildly expensive. It also lives in museums. Stare at it here.
The Vamp [🇬🇧]
Got an old speaker gathering dust? The Vamp by Paul Cocksedge turns any vintage speaker into a Bluetooth powerhouse — no cables, no adapters, just plug, pair, and play. With a built-in battery, you can even take it on the go. Bring your old speakers back to life.
Cubo Rotblau Pepper Mill [🇦🇹]
A pepper mill, but make it Bauhaus. WauWau’s Cubo Rotblau looks like Mondrian designed your kitchen essentials. Geometric, minimalist, and handcrafted in Austria. Spice up your kitchen.
Banwood Classic Bike [🇪🇸]
If Wes Anderson designed kids' bikes, this would be the result. Banwood’s Classic Bike is pure nostalgia — vintage frame, tiny wicker basket, and just the right amount of old-school cool. It’s technically for kids, but let’s be real — you kinda want one too. Start the adventure.
